Chia Seeds


Chia is an edible seed that comes from the desert plant Salvia hispanica, grown in Southern Mexico for centuries. For thousands of years, they were a staple in the diets of ancient Mayans and Aztecs. The word chia comes from the Mayan language, meaning “strength,” and Aztec warriors relied on chia seed to boost energy and increase stamina.
