1 tablespoon of loose-leaf tea, steeped for about 60 seconds. Will provide the antioxidant benefits of approximately 3,000 ORAC units per cup to help fight premature aging due to free radical damage. Steeping tea longer will yield a greater concentration of antioxidants, and conversely, the taste will become more bitter. You may re-use steeped tea leaves several times. With each subsequent use there is a drop in ORAC, polyphenols (antioxidants), and caffeine. To brew tea using a flow-through coffee maker, use 1/2 cup or more for taste to yield about 20 cups or more.
